We are seven weeks in to the merged venture and it has been an adventure.\u00a0 The Pennine League season is nearly over, weather permitting, and the new junior and summer open age seasons are just around the corner so we would like to take a moment and welcome you to the Bramley Buffaloes.<\/p>\n

It has taken us over twelve months to reach this point, but we felt that this was too good an opportunity to rush and so both clubs worked through the proposals to make sure that the merger was right for both clubs.\u00a0 I\u2019m sure there will be teething problems, however we will make sure that these are swiftly dealt with no detriment to the club.<\/p>\n

We have high hopes for the club and this is just the beginning of that journey.\u00a0 Some plans will be quick to implement, others will take sometime, but progress will be made.<\/p>\n

The first step is to create the structure that will take the club forward; we see this as looking something like this:<\/p>\n

The main committee will be made up of 12 elected members, with the Junior Rugby and Fund Raising Groups made up of volunteers.\u00a0 The coaches group will be formed by those people we have coaching our teams.\u00a0 If you feel you have the time and skills to volunteer your time to help with the Junior Rugby and Fund Raising groups please let Tracy or myself know as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

The main committee will be elected and this will take place as soon as we are able to make arrangements.\u00a0 This process is governed by the clubs constitution and election policy, both of which are available here http:\/\/www.bramleybuffs.com\/constitution\/<\/p>\n

To enable you to have your vote, you will need to be a member of the club. Memberships are available at \u00a312 per year for adults and \u00a36 for concessions.\u00a0 More information in this can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We are actively looking for sponsors for the club and this will enable us to fund kits for the teams as well as team wear for the players and coaches. This is an ongoing process and whilst we have several leads, it is taking longer than expected. Designs for the kit and team wear are on display in the club.<\/p>\n

We have been in discussion with Leeds City Council with regards to investing and improving the facilities that we use to accommodate more parents, children and players, giving us a sustainable future.<\/p>\n

Shortly we will be unveiling our newly designed mascot, Billy the Buffalo, who will be on hand at club events and out in community.\u00a0 There will be a poster campaign going out in to the schools and community to promote the club and we will be working closely with the local libraries and Bramley Baths to promote the club and work with them on various projects.<\/p>\n

As you can see we are working on many fronts to make the future of the Buffaloes a promising one.\u00a0 As more of our plans and ideas begin to formulate we will keep you informed either on the noticeboards in the clubhouse, via the team managers and coaches, through the clubs website, Facebook page and Twitter as well as the Buffalo bulletin, which you can sign up for on the website and Facebook page.<\/p>\n
