Bramley Buffaloes coach Steven Gill together with mascots Billy the Buffalo, Ronnie the Rhino and England RL star Jamie Jones-Buchanan helped to launch a new reading initiative in conjunction with the Rugby League World Cup at Leeds Central Library recently.
\nSteven, Ronnie, Billy and Jamie were on hand to promote the Reading Agency\u2019s Six Book Challenge targeted at readers across the Rugby League heartlands with the World Cup trophy on hand to provide some added sparkle!<\/p>\n
Gill commented: \u201cThis is an initiative that Bramley Buffaloes is delighted to support as it is aimed at encouraging people of all ages to pick up a book including a range of official Rugby League World Cup publications, the perfect accompaniment for this year\u2019s much anticipated tournament.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was great to meet up with Jamie and get my hands on the World Cup trophy and is proof that the Rugby League family really does pull together to support such worthy projects,\u201d added Steven who is busy preparing the Buffaloes for their inaugural season in the revamped Yorkshire League Premier Division.<\/p>\n
Steven was also joined by Buffaloes stars Danny O\u2019Connor, Andrew Staniland and Rikk Sumner at the event.<\/p>\n
