Bramley Buffaloes promotion confirmed ahead of 2025 season - Bramley Buffaloes

Bramley Buffaloes have been placed in Division 2 of the Yorkshire Men’s League pyramid, after an application to move up a division for the 2025 season was successful.

The Buffaloes are one of two teams promoted from Division 3, alongside fellow play-off finalists Dodworth Miners.

The 2024 season saw Bramley clinch the Minor Premiership after a winner-takes-all showdown against Dodworh, as well as further silverware in the shape of the YML Trophy.

The team they defeated in the Trophy final – Illingworth – are also in Division 2 of the YML pyramid.

The full eight team division is as follows:

  • Birkenshaw Bluedogs
  • Bramley Buffaloes
  • Castleford Panthers
  • Dodworth Miners
  • East Hull
  • Illingworth
  • Seacroft Sharks
  • West Bowling Academy

The new league season is expected to begin in the first week of April. A confirmed fixture list for 2025 will be announced in due course.

In addition, we will once again be running a team in the YML Merit League, enabling members of our wider playing group to gain competitive minutes throughout the season.

Cup format

This season, the YML Trophy will see teams from Division 2/3 split into two groups of eight, with everyone playing four games.

The top two teams from each side of the draw will progress to the semi-finals.
