The Bramley Team marked their first home game in the village that supplied their name for the first time in a few years, playing out of their new home venue, Bramley Phoenix RFC.
The weather was bright and sunny with a chilly breeze blowing across the pitch and the pitch was firm underfoot, perfect for free flowing Rugby.
The Buffaloes opened their account in the fourth minute of the game, following a scrum in the Stags 20 metre zone, Loose Forward Sam Wilson, charged over the line under the posts, Stand Off Connor McGill converted the try, to make the score 6-0.
Five minutes later, hooker Cameron McLachlan scooted over the line for the second try of the afternoon; McGill was unable to convert the try, increasing the lead to 10-0.
In the 15th Minute, Richard Fenty broke through the defensive line and sprinted away from the pack for another unconverted try, bringing the score to 14-0.
In the 23rd minute, Aiden Baranyi was over for the first of his three tries, making the lead 18-0.
Three minutes later Keiran Hudson was in for the first of his three tries, breaking through some weak defence, with McGill converting the try, to make the score 24-0.
in the 28th Minute, Wilson broke away from the Stags defence and fed the ball to Aiden Baranyi, who score the second of his tries, with McGill converting the try, bringing the score to 30-0.
Six minutes from the break, Hudson broke free of the defence and passed out wide to Joe Mathers, who strode away from the last line of defence, scoring out wide. McGill converted the try, to make the score 36-0.
Just before the half-time whistle, Aiden Baranyi raced 50 metres, just be hauled down short of the line.
The teams left the pitch for the half-time break with the score 36-0 to the Buffaloes.
In the opening minute of the second half, Hudson was in again for his second of the afternoon, with McGill converting the try extending the lead to 42-0.
In the 44th minute, Prop, Dave Jennings, made a barnstorming run, running through the Stags defence, only to be brought down 20 metres from the Stags line.
Four Minutes later, Mathers was in again out sprinting the defenders to narrow the angle for McGill to convert, bringing the score to 48-0.
From the restart, Aiden Baranyi took the ball and broke the oncoming defensive line, scoring his hat-trick try, with McGill converting, breaking the 50 points barrier, with the score 54-0.
in the 54th minute, Hudson broke clear and sprinted away for his third of the afternoon, extending the lead to 58-0.
On the hour mark, substitute Connor Handley drove the ball in towards the Stags try line and broke the defensive line, to go over for an unconverted try, making the score 62-0.
In the 65th Minute Fullback Tom White, sprinted away from the Stags defence, for a try to the right of the posts, white converted his try, to make the score 68-0.
In the 71st minute, Mirfield broke their duck when substitute Jordan Rhodes scored an unconverted try after a sustained period of pressure on the Buffaloes line, making the score 68-4.
On 75 minutes Charlie McMurray scored an unconverted try bringing the score to 72-4.
Three minutes later, Richard Fenty went over for his second of the afternoon, converting the try himself, making the score 78-4.
With the Final play of the game, Jennings scored one of the most surreal tries seen, as he was striding for the corner, the defending players seemed to stop and watch; he crossed the line seemingly circled twice before walking back to where he started from and placing the ball down for the try. The Try went unconverted, with the final score being 82-4 to the Buffaloes.
There is no game next week, as Odsal Sedbergh have asked for a postponement as their squad are at a stag do.
The following week we are taking on Wallsend Eagles in a friendly game at home, 2:30 kick off.
