This year Supporters Direct is inviting all eligible Community Owned Clubs in membership of Supporters Direct to take part in the SD Rugby League Shield Virtual Tournament.
Supporters Direct will create a virtual league of these clubs utilising their results in whichever league they are playing in to create a table which will be displayed here and promoted via social media. Whoever finishes top of the table after the designated number of games wins the SD RL Shield, which will be presented at this year’s annual Supporters Direct Voice of the Fans Conference.
Two points will be awarded to a team for a win, one point for a draw and no points awarded for a loss.
Where the numbers of fixtures played in a season are different across the leagues, we will use the lowest number of league competition games (which is Bramley with 14) as our basis for the table and for the teams that play more we will only use their first 14 league games for the tournament.
