On a tropical afternoon, Bramley Buffaloes travelled the short distance to their neighbours Milford Marlins, where a victory would put them top of the table and a sixth victory in succession.
In the first minute Buffaloes winger Liam Copland broke through the home teams defence, popped a nice pass into the waiting arms of Second Row Aaron Blake to charge over for the opening Try of the day, the Try was converted by Daz Forster, making the score 0-6.
After a 20-minute period punctuated by defence, the Milford side were next to score in the 22nd minute when Sam Walker broke through to score reducing the Buffaloes lead to 4-6.
In the 27th minute, following a period of sustained pressure, the Buffaloes were in again when Alex Brier went through a yawning gap to score next to the posts for a try, converted by Forster, extending the lead to 4-12
Two minutes later the Buffaloes were in again, when Forster broke through home sides defence, who passed to the supporting Ben Dean, to pop an inside pass to Omar Al Rawi who dived over the line for the Buffaloes third try of the afternoon, again converted by Forster stretching the lead to 4-18.
In the 33rd minute Milford were in again for the last score of the first half, after the Buffaloes defence raced up and left a huge gap for an unconverted try, making the score 8-18.
Milford started the second half as the Buffaloes had in the first, scoring from the first play of the half with an unconverted try, making the score 12-18.
Ten minutes later the Buffaloes were in again, following a massive dummy thrown by Ben Dean, who then passed to Winger Liam Copland, who raced away to score a try once again converted by Forster.
Direct from the kick off, Centre Brier broke the Milford defence and sprinted 60 metres for a try, converted by Forster making the score 12-30.
Following the next restart, substitute Copland broke the defence and passed to substitute Ben Pitts, only to be brought down just short of the line by Milford prop Luke Reeves, who was subsequently sin binned for slowing the play down.
From the penalty the ball came down the short side of the field and passed to Andrew Staniland, who dived over in the corner for an unconverted try, bringing the score to 12-34.
In the 63rd Minute the Marlins were in again for another unconverted try bringing the score to 16-34.
Three minutes later the Buffaloes were in for the final score of the game, when centre Craig Green broke away and passed to Staniland who went over for his second of the afternoon, with Forster converting the try making the final score 16-40.
