On a warm and sunny afternoon in Halifax, the Buffaloes took on a young looking Kings Cross Park team, with a Buffaloes team missing a few regulars due to other commitments.
The game started poorly for the Buffaloes when they gave away a penalty for a high tackle straight from the kickoff.
In the 8th minute, Kings Cross Park was on the attack again when they followed a long kick down field, en masse, luckily substitute Aaron Henry raced back to cover the ball and end the attack.
Two minutes later, Taylor Foulds opened the scoring for Kings Cross Park, when the home team sent the ball out wide, past the despairing Buffaloes defence for an unopposed try, Full Back Jonny Binns added the conversion, making the score 6-0.
In the 16th minute, the Buffaloes opened their account, when Henry, recovered a loose pass and weaved his way past three defenders to score under the posts, converting his try levelling the scores at six all.
On 22 minutes, standoff Aiden Baranyi broke through the defenders beating two players before passing the ball onto Tom Langton for an unconverted try, giving the Buffaloes the lead 6-10.
Three minutes later, Prop Tom Barraclough strode through the defensive line and passed the ball to an Unmarked Henry, who with the line begging dropped the ball.
Four minutes from the break, Henry raced away from the defenders and crossed the line only to drop the ball in the process of scoring.
In the 38th Minute, Aiden Baranyi sprinted 30 metres dodging defenders on the way for his opening try of the afternoon, Henry adding the extra two points, making the score 6-16.
Two minutes after the break, Buffaloes man of the match Ben Maynard-Worrincy, received a short pass a metre from the line and put the ball down for a try, Henry added the conversion, increasing the lead to 6-22.
In the 45th minute, Aiden Baranyi again broke through the defensive line, but Henry was unable to take in the pass. From the dropped ball, the Kings Cross Park Scrum Half, Josh Hunt, raced away from the chasing defenders to score under the posts. Hunt converted his try, narrowing the lead to 12-22.
In the 50th Minute, the Buffaloes won a scrum against the feed, and from the scrum base, Keiran Hudson raced away to score a try, converted by Henry, increasing the lead to 12-28.
In the 55th minute, Kings Cross Park began a revival, when Winger Liam Calvert, sprinted 70 metres to score a try, with Hunt Adding the extras, narrowing the lead to 18-28.
Four minutes later they were in again when second rower, Cam barged over, with Hunt added the conversion, reducing the gap to four points, 24-28.
Shortly after Club Captain Brad Wilson was brought into the fray, giving the team some much-needed shape, and in the 66th minute, the Buffaloes killed off any remaining hope that Kings Cross Park had, when Aiden Baranyi cross for his second try of the afternoon, with Henry again adding the extras, increasing the lead to 24-34.
Three minutes later Henry crosses for his second of the afternoon after the Buffaloes spread the ball from one side of the pitch to the other. Before Crossing the line hugging the ball tightly. He added the conversion, taking the score to 24-40.
In the 72nd minute, Aiden Baranyi crossed for his third of the game, with Henry Adding the Conversion, making the score 24-46.
with the last play of the match, Henry picked up the ball from a penalty and scored his third of the match with the conversion being unsuccessful, making the final score 24-50.
