We have learned today that St Josephs have dropped out of the Yorkshire Mens League Division Two.
St Josephs are extremely disappointed to have to make this decision but a number of season ending injuries coupled with a lack of commitment from a number of players has left them with no choice. As they have only played 8 fixtures less than 50% of the original scheduled 18 their results will be expunged as per competition rule below.
3.3 – If a club withdraws from the League having failed to complete 50% of its scheduled games, then the club’s record shall be expunged. If a club completes 50% or more of its scheduled games, the points will be awarded to the opponents in line with competition rule 2.3.
we were due to play them on the 8th of July and this was re-arranged for the 5th August.
We will endeavour to arrange a friendly for the 5th August.
