Big Match Preview - Bramley Buffaloes

Swiftly moving on from our match against the Batley Bodybuilders AKA Batley Boys, the Buffaloes are back in action when Lindley Swifts visit the Phoenix ground on Saturday for what promises to be a classic as both teams chase the play-off places.

Bramley’s debut in the Premier Division this season started with a 8-26 defeat at Lindley so the Buffaloes will be aiming to clip the Swifts wings and make it a third home victory of the season.

Lindley Swifts were originally formed in 1884, disbanded in 1939 and re-formed in 1992. They have reformed the junior side of the club and hope that they will develop a stronger junior set up in the club to secure their future.

PLEASE NOTE THE KICK-OFF TIME IS THE USUAL 2-30
Head Coach Steve Langton (Sponsored by Cheney Payroll Services) said after Thursday night’s training session “After last week, we’ve had a good chat about things and we’ll be selecting from a full squad for this week’s match with everyone wanting to show the real Buffaloes this week”
Club Captain Brad Wilson (Sponsored by The Three Amigos) admitted “Very disappointed with last week, but playing most of the game with only 13 fit players against a strong Batley Boys team just stacked things against us. But training has gone well and we’ll bounce back this Saturday ”
