BUFFALOES AND BUTT’S DAY IN THE SUN – HOPEFULLY! - Bramley Buffaloes

Bramley Buffaloes Rugby League Club will be holding their first Summer Festival since merging with Rodley Rockets and the whole of West Leeds and the Rugby League community is invited!

The event, scheduled to take place on Sunday 3rd August and kick off at 10.30am, will feature a host of junior and open age RL tournaments involving a number of Yorkshire clubs with a guest referee in former England RL and Pakistan RU international Ikram Butt on hand to highlight the White Ribbon Campaign, a charity that lobbies against domestic abuse.

Organiser Tracey Bowes is looking forward to the festival: “We held a number of similar events as Rodley Rockets and they were always successful. It’s a great way for the local community to find out all about the Buffaloes and our ethos and we look forward to welcoming as many people along as possible.

“Ikram’s involvement is very welcome. The White Ribbon Campaign carries an important message that affects all communities.

“We are on the look out for a sponsor for the event so if there are any kind hearted,  community focused firms out there, we’d welcome their involvement. It promises to be a great day and here’s hoping for wall to wall sunshine!” added Tracy.
