We got an email from the RFL on Friday afternoon stating that Garforth had withdrawn from the competition and that as per rule 3.3 of the competition, their results would be expunged from the league tables, as they had completed less than 50% of their fixtures.
We are obviously disappointed that Garforth has withdrawn from the league, especially as we haven’t had the opportunity to play them at The Warrels. This is another home game that we have lost out on and one that we can ill afford, following the disaster that was the 2016 season.
